I haven't posted in a while - I've been in a creative dry spell. Now that ideas are flowing again I decided to do something with this heart shaped box I had. I covered it with pretty scapbooking paper, put vintage crochet and some ball fringe around the edge and then made a silk rose for the top, some more vintage crochet, velvet leaves and some ribbon. I finished it off with an image from The Grapics Fairy.
Update on the knee replacement - I don't need one, at least not yet, so yeah! I'm on some new meds, which seems to work better. No news on the California jobs, we have pretty much give up hope and are working on plan b. It's hard, because I am really ready to move out of Colorado, but it doesn't seem to be happening, so I'm trying to get my head around staying. Bloom where you are planted and all that. We will still have to sell the house, but will move to Denver to be closer to Chip's work.
It doesn't help that it has been a cold, snowy spring. Sunday was beautiful, and it looked like we would finally get a break, but now snow is forcast for Wednesday, and I am really, really sick of snow at this point. Mother's day is usually when it's considered safe to plant your annuals, so I did all our pots on Sunday, now I'll have to cover them all up. Oh well.....

Your heart is really lovely, love all the different textures. Hope everything turns out well for you soon!
