I just got back for a trip to Port Townsend, Washington. I was spending some time with my son, his wife and my grandaughter, Lain. I was also exploring Port Townsend, as Chip and I are thinking about retiring there.
It's a beautiful town, people are very friendly, and the pace of life is slower. Being in the "rainshadow" of Mount Olympia, it gets quite a bit less rain than the rest of Washington, the climate is mild, and there is an abundant supply of fresh seafood and organically grown vegtables. It has a historic waterfront downtown, a thriving tourist trade, and lots of victorian architecture. think I could really like living there.

It was great spending time with Lain, she is a delight, very happy and loving child. I took lots of pictures, but I really like this one as it shows her personality. We played many games of Itsy Bitsy spider, pattycake and little piggy, and read many books. I also got to relax quite a bit, read a lot of books and was very lazy. So I'm ready to catch up with my business and get creative this week.
