Yesterday was the first "Towne and Country Market" here in Castle Rock. This was a joint effort
between The Barn and another local business and will be once a month through the summer. Although the rain kept away some vendors and customers, we still managed to put on a good market for those customers who braved the rain. We had a good time, trying to stay warm and dry and buying from each other. Bling!, a local dress shop put some sales items out - everything was $10.00 - so we all bought lots of cute clothes. I hope to do the market again next month.
My favorite vendor was A Bushel and A Peck. Owner Jeanne Oliver (who happens to a neighbor of mine), just rocked it with her mid century modern hand mades. She has an Etsy shop and her blog is abushelandapeck.typepad.com. We did some swapping - she got some of my antiques and I got a fab handmade dress for Lain. I also bought her a pink tutu from another vendor.
My friend Cheri showed up to check out the market - she may do it next month. So she and Alice and I got to visit for a bit.
