I was suprised (to put it mildly) to find out that my husband was offered (and accepted) a position with his current company in Oakland, Ca. I've been wanting to go back for quite a while and it just seemed like it was never going to happen. This particular job was offered to someone else and he was told he was second. Then, months after he applied, he was offered the job. It's a promotion and pays full relo expenses.
I'm a native Californian, and while I've enjoyed my 10 years here in Colorado, well, there's no place like home. Plus I have a daughter, grandson and other family there. I missed gardening most of the year, and I never really got to like the cold. Add to that, Chip doesn't like his current job and his office had moved, making the commute more difficult, this is just fabulous.
But, wow, so many things to think about. I have to wind down my Barn store, get the house ready for sale, continue to work on my website and get that going. We will be traveling there to look for a house. We have to decide where we want to live, etc. Yikes, My head is spinning.

Wow, that is big news!!! How exciting! Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteI wanted to let you know that I'll be featuring your beautiful French Heart today, for Brag Monday!
Hi Lisa,
ReplyDeleteMy family was just visiting CO last week! One of our favorite places to shop is The Barn! I took some pictures of the wonderful space you are in ~ so many beautiful things ~ and posted about it on my blog for White Wednesday! (I'm hoping this is ok!) I love your work! I bought one of your French hearts!
Although I know there will be many that are sad to see that you are leaving The Barn, I am happy that you will be going home! How wonderful for you! Lots to get ready... I will be anxiously waiting for future posts once things settle for you.
Looking forward to getting to know you better!
Have a wonderful evening!
