Things have been crazy busy the last few weeks. I've been trying to get the house ready to sell, inverviewing real estate agents, and cleaning, cleaning, cleaning. I've given notice at The Barn and will be out the end of August. I put everything on sale 50% off and have sold quite a bit already. So, I'm busy finishing projects and rounding up inventory in the basement.
My grandson Ian was here for 9 days in July, and since it will be his last trip to visit us in Colorado we took him to Rocky Mountain National Park, the Rennasaince Festival and lots of movies and dinners out. This is a picture of Ian (tall one on the left) and his Colo friend Justin, at the Ren festival. It was a great visit and I look forward to living closer to him.
Then Chip and I went to Redstone (small town on the western slope of the Rockies) t
o celebrate out 10th anniversary. It was a really nice get a way, stayed in the historic Redstone Inn. the picture of us is from the grounds of the Redstone Castle where we did a tour. It's not really a castle, more of an old English manor home, but very nice anyway. Did a drive through the mountains to Crested Butte. That area of Colorado is so beautiful, that's one thing I will miss.
After that is was back to work on the house. I took a few days off to make some things for Amy to take to the Paris Street Market today. I did some really fun things, but forgot to take picture - doh! Hopefully soon I'll have the house ready and can take a break - then it will be off to California to look for houses.
