We are moving November 13, so I went down to my workshop this week to see what I could finish up. I had a lot of vintage posts and spindles, so I decided to make them all into candle holders. I cut square bases and screwed those onto the spindles. and topped them with candle pans. Then I painted all them white and added a little sawdust in with the paint to give them all a rustic look and meld the different woods together.
That gave me the idea for this Halloween table scape. We have invited all the neighbors to our house on Saturday evening for Cider and Cookies. We thought it would be a convenient way to give everyone a chance to say goodbye as most will be out with the kids trick or treating anyway.
I wanted to do a cream, silver and black color scheme, so I used the candlesticks, A vintage crochet tablecloth, and all the old silver plate that I had. I created the Boo Garland (from the Graphics Fairy), and also printed out some other vintage Halloween images onto brown craft paper. I bought some small pumpkins, spray painted them black, and added some black votives, and a skull on a pillow I found at Michael's (only $2.49!).
