May Sale

I moved in April so, I've been pretty busy with getting the house all set up, and then I took a trip to Pt. Townsend, Washington, to see my granddaughter Lain. I am ashamed to say that I hadn't seen her in almost a year due to the move, health issues, etc.. After many, many games of hide-and-seek (she cheats!), and many books and trips to the park, I think my grandmother card has been re-instated. I wanted to share a picture of her that I took. She will be 3 in July and is just a little bundle of energy.

So, considering I only a few days to prepare, the May sale went well. All my furniture sold by Friday and I had no backup. Fortunately another vendor lent me a table (thank you Helen!), otherwise my things would have been sitting on the floor. I seem to do well with these French chairs. I use canvas drop cloth fabric that I get at the hardware store. The drop cloth fabric is sturdy, takes the stencil paint well, and is very inexpensive. You do have to wash it first, to remove the sizing and give it that vintage look.

With the move behind me, I hope to get back to my business, which has been neglected of late. I am getting physical therapy for my pain issues and I'm feeling much better, I bought some fabric last week, and I hope to make some runners and pillows this week.
